- Currently registered at a university, community college, or technical school (graduating seniors are also eligible to apply)
- Completed one year at your institution
- Completed one term of pre-calculus (or equivalent)
- Completed one term of basic science or engineering course
- An interest in ocean sciences and other types of research conducted at APL-UW

Have experience in a lab-based course or with computational software, such as Exel, Matlab, Python, R, etc.
