CHARGE 2023 Internship

University of District Columbia students Justin An and Javar Dougall spent 10 weeks of their summer getting hands-on experience with APL’s researchers, scientists and engineers in the Acoustics Department and Ocean Engineering Department. UW Naval ROTC midshipmen Joshua Lee and Brennan Hunt spent summer 2021 diving deep into a new underwater sensor technology that detects, geolocates, and classifies potentially hazardous objects on the seafloor. Now, they’re applying the skills they’ve learned to build their careers in the Navy.

Transitional opportunities for U.S. Service Members

Are you a transitioning service member looking for the next step in your career? APL seeks opportunities to support transitioning service members from any branch of the Department of Defense. Proud of our Navy heritage, APL strives to continue to strengthen our connection with the Department of Defense and help service members explore the vast opportunities available to them in the civilian sector – and APL!

Reach out to your Transitioning Assistance Program (TAP) facility for more information on different transition and internship opportunities with APL. Through avenues such as DoD Skillbridge and WorkEx, APL can help create a customized internship for you.
