Taking CHARGE, one unforgettable experience at a time
Beginning in 2022, APL-UW has had the privilege of partnering with Dr. Max Denis, Director of the Center of Excellence for Acoustic and Seismic Sensing of Urban Environments at the University of the District of Columbia, to develop opportunities and experiences for UDC students. Initially starting as a senior undergraduate capstone project leading to follow-on summer experiences, the lasting connection created something so much more impactful. Through APL-UW’s CHARGE (Creating HBCU Applied Research Graduate Extensionships) program and collaborations with Dr. Max Denis, APL-UW provided extraordinary summer research experiences for two students – Javar Dougall and Justin An.
